Hugh Rone Obituary
AGE: 19 • South Amboy
Hugh Riley Rone, 19, of South Amboy died suddenly on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in a motorcycle accident on the Garden State Parkway. He was a lifelong resident of South Amboy and a 2015 graduate of South Amboy High School where he played on the varsity soccer, baseball and basketball teams. He was named Co-Athlete of the Year in 2015 along with his lifelong friend Tim Kales. He was currently a student at Middlesex County College, going on to Mercer County Community College to fulfill his lifelong dream, since the age of 3, of becoming a funeral director like his Daddy. Riley was employed by his family business, The Gundrum Service "Home for Funerals" and also worked as a lifeguard for Sun & Surf. He was a communicant of St. Mary's R.C. Church in South Amboy. Riley was a true patriot and lover of history and his country, and looked forward to voting for the first time in the upcoming election. He was among the first to board the Trump Train. An accomplished athlete, he played basketball at St. Mary's, Sacred Heart CYO and South Amboy Recreation; baseball for The Gundrum Service Little League Team, the Sayreville Riverdogs, American Legion Post 62, South Amboy and was an All Division Baseball Player his junior and senior years; South Amboy Indoor Soccer, played on Sayreville Phoenix travel soccer team and South Amboy High School, playing on the Division Championship team his senior year with his sister Regan Rone as head coach, receiving All Division Soccer Player. He was also the captain of the South Amboy High School soccer team.
Grandson of the late Jane and Bernard Reszkowski and Hedwig and Henry Zawistowski, he is survived by his parents Hugh G. and Barbara Zawistowski Rone; three sisters Ryan Moran and her husband Sean, Randi Simonetti and her husband James and Regan Rone; a niece Maisie and three nephews Anthony, James and Rory.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 6, 2016 at 9:30am from The Gundrum Service "Home For Funerals" 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 10:30am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church. Interment will be at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 to 6pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the South Amboy Policemen's Benevolent Association.

Dear Mr. & Mrs Rone,
I don't know you, however, after seeing the YouTube video clip of you both at a Trump rally in Hershey, PA. from several years ago,
I was very touched as you spoke about and honored your son, Riley.
Please know that my heart goes out to you both and to your family. Though it's been a few years since his passing, your son Riley certainly was a most interesting and an incredible young man.
I was on YouTube this evening looking for something that I had seen earlier and wanted to share it with someone.
That is when my eye caught this video clip of you both at a rally a few yrs back with Trump.
My third brother, Herb, when he was a teenager many yrs ago was also a lot like your son when it came to involving one's self with politics at a young age.
Very active and dedicated.
May God bless you and your lovely family. Your son would have been so touched that you met his hero that he felt strongly about from what you shared.
I got tears in my eyes as I heard you speak and my heart swelled as it burst with emotions.
You miss your son and you always will until that day when you see him in heaven. It was unfortunate that he passed at such a young age, but your son, Riley truly lives on as he has touched so many.
We never know how our life can touch others. Your son lives on and God has him with him in heaven, but He sure is using him here on earth too.
Thank you for sharing Riley that day at the rally. He, and you both have touched my heart as well.

It's been a year since the passing of this young man. I never knew him. I ostensibly met him while listening to his mother, a giant of a lady, speaking at a Donald Trump rally. She is beautiful as is Riley's father. Her words were so impressive and now, on this day, I think of you, sir.

I do not know Riley or his family, but I just viewed a video regarding the Trump campaign. I, too, am a huge fan and supporter of Mr. Trump. Seeing this video of Riley's parents talking about him at Mr. Trump's rally was so emotional and inspiring that it prompts me, a complete stranger, to merely send my deepest condolences. How very sorry I am for your loss, but so lovely to see the love that you have for your son. It touched my heart, deeply. When I heard about Riley today, I thought, at once, of Isaiah 57:1 that states: Good people pass away; and the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come.

I told a friend of mine recently that prayer was the only thing that we have left to help us to win this election. My Mother may she rest in peace always taught me that prayer moves mountains. Then I see this story about Riley this morning on Fox and I listened and cried as Mrs. Rone relayed her story about her only son. What a great kid! GOD love Riley. Riley, words cannot describe the pain I felt when I heard you had left us. You were always such a sweet and honorable guy, and I cherished our friendship so much. My biggest regret was that last day we met and you asked me what I had called you so early for, and I didn't have the courage to tell you the truth. The truth is, I had fallen in love with you and was too scared to admit it. Was it because we were so different? I tried to deny my feelings towards you, as I was scared. I thought maybe my feelings were all messed up. Me a black girl falling in love with a white guy. I'm so sorry. I would do anything if we had one more second. If you are reading this from your spot above, know how much I loved you, and know that I did want to be together. Nobody else would have mattered, our differences didn't matter. I love you forever Riley and if I see you again, I hope you'll give me another chance, I know in life a point of contention was my political views, but I will vote for Mr. Trump, and you know I am a democrat. But in your honor, I am a republican and have changed my voter registration to Republican.

God Bless you and comfort you. Riley is marching in God's Army now. He calls the best of us to him. God doesn't take away someone as remarkable as Riley without a reason. And your loss will be restored to you as our Lord teaches, seven times seven. One day when you are reunited Riley will have so much to share with you, and your reunion will last forever.

So sorry for your loss. I just watched the TRUMP rally in Hershey PA. Where you spoke. Tears rolled down my face. My 22 yr. old son is also an avid TRUMP supporter as myself too, since day one. When We vote Nov 8, we Wil vote for Riley too. God bless you and yours. Prayers and hugs. Deepest sympathy.
