Ian-- I am so happy I met you in 04 when I moved to Edison -you were such a character and I'm so glad to have known you...you were a unique, incredible person. I only hope that I can continue to appreciate people in my life before they are gone. I cherished our friendship and will miss you for the rest of my life.

Goodbye my friend. Life will not be nearly as interesting without you around.

I knew Ian only through FaceBook, and although we were on opposing sides of many issues, we still had each others respect. I guess its a commentary on our times that you can be closer friends with someone online than some who are physically available. Rest in peace Ian.

And you my faithful friends I leave behind,
To perfect all which I have tried to do;
Raise up the weak, instruct the darkened mind,
Make gladness for the many--not the few."

To Ians family, please except my deepest sympathy. He was loved by so many..

Ian was a jack of all trades and master of some. A truly unique person who will not be forgotten by me or anyone who knew him. In the words of Plato " Death is not the worst thing that can happen to a man"

Ian, from what I could tell from my perch, was a great person. Intelligent, knowledgeable, kind, honest to a fault, quick witted and most other, if not all good qualities one can attribute to a human being. I occasionally cringed at a bluntness on his part, but always learned something from it. As a few chosen people in the past, he contributed positively to my life, and for that I am very grateful.

I met him on FaceBook and never in person, but I really, really wish I did. I really wish I did. For nothing else than to play a game of chess with him perhaps and have him elucidate some of his thoughts in exchange for mine.

My condolences to all his family, including to his cousin and sister he introduced me to a couple of weeks ago - on line.
