Irene Booth Obituary
AGE: 92 • Tinton Falls
Irene G. Booth passed away peacefully at JSUMC on Saturday, January 30th. Irene was born and raised in the Bronx NYC by her parents Mary Mulcahy and Michael Grogan. She was the fifth of nine children and graduated from Morris High School in the Bronx. Her highly successful business career covered many years and companies but culminated in her retirement as General Manager of McMillen & Co., then the most prominent interior-decorating firm in the US. Over time, Irene had homes in Manhattan, Lakeville Ct., Port St. Lucie Fl. and Tinton Falls NJ.
Her beloved husband Ed, who passed away in 2011, predeceased Irene as well as her brothers Michael, James, Francis and sisters Mary and Alice. She is survived by her daughter Irene (Joyce) and her husband Eamon; her grand daughter Karen (Fazio) and her husband Angelo and their three children, Lauren, Kevin and Caroline; her grand son John, his wife Mary Beth and their two children Jack and Elle; her sisters Agnes, Kathleen and her brother Eugene.
A viewing will be held at Buckley Funeral Home, 509 Second Ave., Asbury Park on Wednesday, Feb. 3rd from 3PM-7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11AM on Thursday, Feb. 4th at St. Michael's Church in Long Branch. Internment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the SPCA, Wall Street, West Long Branch. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.Buckleyfuneralhome.net.

I enjoyed my friendship with Irene and Ed. I shall miss them both. We had good times both in Lakeville and Florida.
