JAMES AMATO
AGE: 77
NORTH PLAINFIELD
James Amato, 77, of North Plainfield, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 in Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Mr. Amato was born and raised in Plainfield. He had been a resident of North Plainfield for the last 40 years. He was an Accountant for Mack Trucks of Somerville for 30 years, retiring several years ago.
Mr. Amato was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Philomena Amato, 2 brothers, 5 sisters and his friend and partner Henry W. Sole. He is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral Service on Friday, July 30 at 12:00 pm at the Walter J. Johnson Funeral Home, 803 Raritan Rd., Clark. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Plainfield. Visiting hours will be Friday morning from 10 - 12 pm. To offer condolences or for more information, please go to www.walterjohnsonfh.com

Jim will be missed--I used to enjoy his singing down the halls of Greenbrook Manor Nursing Home. He knew the lyrics to all the show tunes. I always looked forward to my Sunday visits with Jim and I was saddened to learn of his passing.
