James Mikusi Obituary
AGE: 41-years • Jersey City
James J. Mikusi, Jr., of Jersey City died Tuesday, May 20th at home. He was 41.
Born in Elizabeth on July 8th 1972, he was raised in Edison and has lived in Jersey City for over 10 years.
Jimi was a 1990 graduate of JP Stevens High School in Edison. He attended Lehigh and Rutgers Universities and worked as a self-employed I.T. professional for most of his adult life. Jimi was also a former parishioner of St. Helena's RC Church in Edison. He loved snowboarding, salsa dancing and was a basketball fan. He also was a soccer fan and served as a volunteer youth soccer coach in Newark. Jimi will be dearly missed for the love and kindness shown to others and his genuine sense of humor.
Surviving are his parents, James J. Mikusi, Sr. of Somerset and Eileen Mikusi (nee: Lynch) of Edison; sister and brother-in-law, Corrine & Robert Trippetti of Columbus; and aunts, uncles, and many cousins and friends.
Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the GOSSELIN FUNERAL HOME, 660 New Dover Road, Edison. Funeral Mass to follow on Wednesday, May 28th at 10 AM at St. Helena's RC Church, 950 Grove Avenue, Edison. All to meet at church. Committal service to follow in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia.
In lieu of flowers donations in his loving memory can be made to the National Stroke Association, 9707 East Easter Lane, Suite B, Centennial, Colorado 80112, or to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
