Janet M. Lawrence

AGE: 77 • formerly of Spotswood

Janet M. Lawrence (nee Myers), 77, of Silver Ridge Park Westerly section of Berkeley Township, NJ died on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011 at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ. She was born in Trenton, NJ and lived in Spotswood, NJ for over 40 years moving to Silver Ridge Park Westerly in 2002. Janet was a school crossing guard at the Appleby School in Spotswood, NJ for 25 years retiring in 1992. Janet was an avid animal lover and loved the outdoors and enjoyed the birds and the beautiful flowers. She was a parishioner of St. John's Church in Lakehurst, NJ.

Preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Marjorie (Rice) Myers and her son, David Lawrence in 2001. Surviving is her husband, Gilbert Lawrence; her son, James and his wife Donna Lawrence of Manchester, NJ and daughter in law, Carol Lawrence of Jacksonville, Florida; one brother, Robert and his wife Sue Myers of St. Petersburg, Florida; five grandchildren, Joshua, Anna, Mary, Christopher and, Jeffrey; many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be on Monday, 10am at St. John's RC Church, Lakehurst, NJ. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jersey Shore Animal Shelter, Brick, NJ. Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River, NJ is in charge of arrangements.
