Janet Rittman Obituary
AGE: 87 • East Brunswick
JANET RITTMAN died Friday, September 15, 2017, at her home in East Brunswick. She was 87.
Born in Bronx, NY, she resided in Milltown and East Brunswick for most of her life.
Prior to her retirement in 1996, she worked as a home health aide for 15 years.
Mrs. Rittman was a Communicant of St. Bartholomew R.C. Church, East Brunswick.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald, in 1997; her son, Thomas Rittman, in 1989; and her daughter, Diane Rittman, in 2010.
She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Rittman and her significant other, Floyd Gambino; her son, Kenneth Rittman; sister-in-law, Barbara Pfeifer; a grandson, Thomas, as well as several nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
Friends may call on Thursday, September 21st, from 4:00-6:00 PM at The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, where a funeral service will be held at 5:30 PM. Cremation will be private. For directions to the funeral home, please visit www.brunswickmemorialhome.com

Terry, I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to meet and spend time with you and your darling mother when Sister Kathleen paired us up for the homebound visitation program through St. Bart's.
You and your mom served as an inspiration to me as you both showed amazing strength and spirit during very challenging times. Janet was fortunate to have you as a daughter and care for her as you did when you yourself ailed.
Her sense of humor and faith remain in my thoughts. After knowing of all of the family's sadness, I told her she was going straight to Heaven and she smiled and told me God's got a plan and she was going to ask Him WHEN she got to Heaven, "so what was your plan? She's probably asking Him now.

terri and kenny, when i read this, the only thing i thought of is all the years she came into domino's, always smiling, she was so full of fun too, esp. us as teenagers, she had a strong bond with her kids, always visited diane..i will be at the wake...prayers
