Jason D. McCarthy

AGE: 40 • South Amboy

Jason D. McCarthy, 40, of South Amboy died Saturday, November 5, 2011 at home. Born in South Amboy, he lived there all of his life. He was most recently employed as a custodian for the South Amboy Board of Education. He was a 1989 graduate of Sayreville War Memorial High School.

Son of the late, Karen Applegate McCarthy who died in 2001, he was also predeceased by his brother, Christian McCarthy and his aunt, Mary Rita McCarthy who both died in 2009. He is survived by his father, Patrick McCarthy of South Amboy; his sister, Rebecca McCarthy of South Amboy; his brother in law, Brian McQuade of South Amboy; his niece, Karen; and his aunts and uncles, Aneca and Gerry Garnett of South Amboy, Earl and Linda Applegate of Pensylvania; Michael and Roberta McCarthy of Spring Hill, Florida, Nancy Ayers of Neptune City and Paul Gulick of South Amboy.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday evening November 10, 2011 at 7pm at The Gundrum Service "Home For Funerals" 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4pm to 8pm.
