JEANETTE SCHMON
AGE: 77 FORMERLY OF BEACH HAVEN
On April 25, 2010, (nee Wernik) age 77 yrs. of Ocean View DE, formerly of Beach Haven and Tuckerton, NJ. Beloved wife of the late Francis Schmon, loving mother of Dorothy Matter (Joe) of Commercial Twp., Janet Hugg (Ray) of Barnegat, and Lawrence Wiltbank (Nancy) of Belford, and cherished grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother William Wernik of NH and sister Carol Hollinshead of FL.
Jeanette was born in Phila., but moved to LBI in the early 1950's where she spent most of her years. She had many seasonal jobs down LBI but is most well known for her Hostessing at the Port O Call Restaurant in Beach Haven. She was also a member of the Beach Haven Fire Dept Ladies Aux. Jeanette later moved to Tuckerton then to DE in the late 1990's and became active in the Ladies Aux. of the VFW Mason-Dixon Post #7234 in Ocean View.
Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family in DE. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donations in Jeanette's name be made to the VFW Mason-Dixon Post 7234 Ladies Aux at 7234 Quillens Point Rd., Ocean View, DE 19967. Arrangements entrusted to the Etherington-Creran Funeral Home, Gloucester City, NJ. www.etheringtonfh.com.
