Jill Bernstein Welsh

AGE: 54 • Highland Park

Jill Bernstein Welsh passed away June 24, 2013, at home surrounded by her family and loved ones. Jill fought breast cancer for nine years courageously and with dignity. Jill was born in New Brunswick to Bernice Frant Bernstein and the late Dr. Eugene Bernstein. She was a graduate of Highland Park High School class of 1977 and Rutgers University in 1981. Jill began her career as a buyer for Bambergers/Macys in Menlo Park. She went on to become a pioneering female in digital business management communications, working as a systems analyst for Becton Dickinson and Nabisco. Jill enjoyed fashion and the music of Michael McDonald. She was a member of the Raritan Valley Chapter of Hadassah and a congregant of the Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple in New Brunswick.

Jill is survived by her mother Bernice Bernstein; her children Jaclyn Welsh, Matt Welsh, and his fiancée Karen Johnson; her brothers Andy Bernstein, Bob Bernstein, his wife Cary Prince, and nephew Max Bernstein.

Services will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2013 in the Chapel at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, NJ at 12:30pm. Shiva will be observed Wednesday, Thursday 3-8 PM and Friday 3-6 PM. Donations may be made to the Nissenblatt Challah Foundation or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ.
