JOHN J. FORTINI
AGE: 61 OLD BRIDGE
John J. Fortini, 61, of Old Bridge, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold. Born in Denver, CO, he lived in California and Manalapan before moving to Old Bridge in 1993. He was a manager at Gerdau AmeriSteel in Sayreville (formerly known as NJ Steel) since 1981.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Donna; his son, John of Phoenix, AZ; his daughter, Jeanna of Chandler, AZ; two brothers, Joe Fortini of Richmond, CA and Donald Marquez of Hesperia, CA; and four sisters, Alma Martinez and Jeanie Jackson, both of Denver, CO, Mary Baca of Lakewood, CO, and Mary Madeline Calpwer of Vallejo, CA.
A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, March 20th, at 10 am, at St. Gabriel's Historic Church, Route 520, Marlboro. Interment will be private. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, PO Box 27106, NY, NY 10087 www.mskcc.org or CentraState Healthcare Fund, 916 Route 33, Suite 6, Freehold, NJ 07728.
