John M. Redling, died Sunday, May 1, 2011, at home. He was 81. Born in Union City, he resided in Teaneck before moving to Old Bridge 51 years ago. Prior to his retirement in 1993, he was a certified public accountant with the law firm of Brown Wood in Manhattan, N.Y. for 25 years. He was a graduate of St. Peter's College, Jersey City, and was a daily communicant of St. Ambrose R.C. Church, Old Bridge. His altruism to St. Ambrose Parish included vice president of the School Board; Treasurer of the St. Vincent de Paul Society; extraordinary minister of the Eucharist and Lector.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara McGimpsey Redling; a son, John Jr. and his wife Rebecca of Hopewell, Va.; four daughters, Patricia and her husband John Schiavone of Lockport, N.Y., Kathleen Redling of Manahawkin, Maureen and her husband Alfred Gugliotta of Freehold, and Barbara and her husband Richard Campbell of Weston Springs, Ill.; a sister, Ann LeBeau of Woodcliff Lake; and 10 grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 3 at the Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 4 in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Interment will follow at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Ambrose Church St. Vincent DePaul Society, 96 Throckmorton Lane, Old Bridge, NJ 08857.
