John Wagerik Obituary
AGE: 61 • Hopelawn
John G. Wagerik Jr., 61, of Hopelawn, passed away Friday, December 12, 2014 at his home. Mr. Wagerik was born in Perth Amboy to the late John G. Wagerik Sr. and Theresa Kuhn Wagerik and had lived in most of his life in Hopelawn except for the twenty years he had lived in Houston TX..
He was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Perth Amboy. He was also on the Dean's List at St. Francis College in Loretto, PA. He went on to pursue his Masters Degree in History. John was employed by Rand McNally of Houston as a salesman. He was a very active member of the St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church in Perth Amboy, a dedicated church bingo worker and member of the St. Michael's Seniors.
In addition to his parents, John was also predeceased by his beloved aunt and uncle Helen and Tony Beyers and uncles Nicholas and Stephen Wagerik. He is survived by his uncle, Julius J. Wagerik of Hopelawn, his aunt, Mary Ann Wagerik of Hopelawn and two cousins Michael and James.
A service of Divine Liturgy will be held 10:00 am Friday, December 19, 2014 at the St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church, 401 Hall Ave., Perth Amboy. Interment will follow in the St. Michael's Cemetery in Fords. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mitruska Funeral Home, 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. (www.MitruskaFuneralHomeInc.com)

John was a quiet, intelligent and likeable soul. It was my pleasure to be his classmate and friend at St. Michael's, and at St. Mary's. The Class of 72 lost one of it's nicest guys. May he rest in Peace.
