JOSEPH E. DECIBUS
AGE: 77 METUCHEN
Joseph E. Decibus, 77, of Metuchen died Tuesday Aug. 17, 2010 at home. Born November 12, 1932 in Perth Amboy he resided in Metuchen for the past 50 years. He was a Marine Corp Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Joe is the retired owner of Nicholas Lincoln Mercury which was located in Perth Amboy. He was a past president of the Metuchen Rotary Club and received the Paul Harris Award, also a member of the Metuchen Golf & Country Club and communicant of St. Francis Cathedral.
He was predeceased by his brother, Nicholas Decibus, surviving are his wife of 50 years, Hazel (Petercsak) Decibus; son, Joseph M. Decibus and wife Miwa of Metuchen; daughter, Lisa Decibus O'Hare and husband Dan of Metuchen; grandson, Matthew O'Hare; mother, Frances Decibus of Neptune, and sister, Frances Decibus of Metuchen.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday August 21, 2010 at 9:45am from Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue Metuchen, Funeral Liturgy 10:15am St. Francis Cathedral, interment Hillside Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday 2-4, 7-9pm at the funeral home.
