Joseph Sardoni Obituary
AGE: 78 • Parlin
Joseph N. Sardoni, age 78, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton. Born in Jersey City he had resided in Parlin for 46 years before moving to Florence to reside with his son. Before his retirement he was employed as a body shop inspector for General Motors in Linden where he worked for 33 years. Mr. Sardoni was a member of the United Auto Workers and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He is predeceased by his wife, Lavinia Mary Sardoni; his brothers, Patrick and John Sardoni and his sister, Mildred Sardoni. Surviving are his son, Joseph N. Sardoni Jr. and his wife Kim of Florence; his daughter, Mary Sardoni of Jackson; his grandchildren, Sarah & John Sardoni and Ashley, Jessica and Jayson Szulc; his sisters, Frances Custode of Brick and Anne Doll and her husband Robert of Long Beach Island.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 9am at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with entombment to follow at Sacred Heart Mausoleum, Parlin. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Friday from 4pm to 7pm. The family has requested that donations in Joseph's name be made to Sacred Heart League, 6050 Highway 161, Walls, Mississippi, 38686.
