Josephine Kraus Obituary
AGE: 84 • North Plainfield
Josephine Kraus, 84, died Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Josephine was born and raised in North Plainfield, lived 21 years in Whippany before moving back to North Plainfield in 1973. She retired as a Finisher with Guarino Furs of Greenbrook. Josephine was a member of the North Plainfield Seniors, and the Traveling Seniors.
She was predeceased by her brother, Ralph DeGuilo. Surviving is her husband, Gerald J. Kraus, a son, Frederick Kraus of CA, and two daughters, Geraldine Leddy of Bridgton, ME., and Loretta Kraus of Sedona, AZ. Also surviving is a brother, Ruben DeGuilo of GA, and two sisters, Philomena Guarino and Emma Turfaro both of North Plainfield, two grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Services will start 10am Saturday from the Scarpa Funeral Home, 22 Craig Place, North Plainfield, followed by a 11am Mass at St. Luke's RC Church in North Plainfield. Burial will take place in Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield. Visiting hours are Friday, 2-4 and 7-9pm.

Aunt Jo, words can't express how much you have touched my life. I can never forget your never-ending bright smile and warm heart. It was always a joy to see you when I visited New Jersey, and am thankful for the time we spent together last summer. May you rest in peace always.

Hi Aunt Jo. Such an amazing lady. So many stories, I don't know where to start. New Year's Days and ice skating in Whippany are my earliest. These are followed by years of warm hugs, endless kisses, and miles of smiles. I never once left your home without having laughed out loud. How does one live a life so long and so cheerfully with such strong direction? The influence you have had on my life is priceless and unending. The rock solid DeGiulio brand of loyalty is something else, ain't it? I'll carry you with me always. I miss you. I love you. My heartfelt condolences; especially to Uncle Jerry, Geraldine, Loretta, and Freddie. Love, Andrew
