June McCormack Dzielak, a lifelong resident of Milltown, died April 22 at CareOne in East Brunswick. She was 98 years young. Predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Edward Dzielak, her parents, Peter and Daisy Crenning McCormack, brothers William, Vance and Sherwood, and granddaughter, Lindsay Pollack. She is survived by her sisters, Claire Bruen of East Brunswick and Brick, and Shirley Vena of Oceanport; her daughters and their spouses: Mary Ellen and Andy Garrigue of Richmond, VA., Kathleen Dzielak and Chris Jordan of Milltown, and Susan and Andy Seiler of Washington, D.C.; her granddaughters, Madeleine Garrigue and Ren Bell, and a great-grandson, Edward Bell, of Richmond. Born on Nov. 1, 1918, in New Brunswick, she grew up on Main Street in Milltown in a "full house" that included her parents, grandparents, and five siblings. Her children, also born and raised in Milltown, loved to hear the tales of her childhood in the town during the Great Depression. She was a graduate of New Brunswick High School and Drake Business College in New Brunswick and worked for many years as an administrative assistant for the Agricultural Extension Service of Cook College at Rutgers. She was very proud of her Irish heritage and her family's deep roots in the Milltown community. Most of all, June loved her family, and we will miss her loving spirit, witty sense of humor and beautiful smile more than we can express.
