KATHERINE MARIE MAZZIO
AGE: 19 MONROE TWP.
Katherine Marie Mazzio, 19, of Monroe Twp. died Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in New Brunswick, she was a lifelong Monroe Twp. resident. Miss Mazzio was employed for the past year as a child care aide at the Raritan Valley YMCA, East Brunswick. She also held a part-time position for Starbucks, East Brunswick. She was a graduate of Monroe Twp. High School, lettering in soccer and track. She was a volunteer at Monroe Twp. Library and a member of American Legion Post 127 Auxiliary, Jamesburg.
Surviving are her parents, Rocco and Felicia Hunt Mazzio of Jamesburg; two brothers, Rocco Joseph Mazzio and Nicholas Thomas Mazzio, both of Jamesburg, her grandparents, Rocco Mazzio, Sr. of Jamesburg, Rick and Rosemary Wetzel of Jamesburg, and Thomas Hunt of Austin, TX; two uncles, Serge Hunt and Steven Mazzio and an aunt Susan Ralph.
Services will begin 9:00 a.m. Wednesday April 1, 2009 at the Lester Memorial Home, 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg, followed by a 9:30 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. James RC Church, Jamesburg. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery, Jamesburg. Visiting hours for family and friends will be Tuesday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Raritan Valley YMCA Scholarship Fund, East Brunswick.
