Lawrence Feeley Obituary
South Plainfield - Lawrence Joseph Michael Feeley, Sr., 73, of South Plainfield, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2018 at Arista Care at Cedar Oaks in South Plainfield.
Born in Newark to the late Walter and Helen Feeley (nee Ulander), he was raised in Newark and Spotswood before settling in South Plainfield in 1971.
Mr. Feeley proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He went on to work as a truck driver, most recently with Victory Trucking in Cranbury.
He was an avid reader and a wealth of knowledge, always able to recall information and answer all of the Jeopardy questions with confidence. Lawrence enjoyed basketball and football. He loved following sports, especially the Boston Celtics and the Indianapolis Colts. He was the BBQ master and loved time spent with his family, friends, and especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 50 years Judy Waterman Feeley, his loving children Lawrence Joseph Feeley, Jr. and wife Leeada, Denise Werrlein and fiancé Tony Polanco, and Erik Feeley, his cherished grandchildren, Ciara, Logan, Zachery, Lexi, Angel, Liam, Sarah, and Gavin, his dear brothers Frank Kelly and wife Laverne and Walter Feeley, as well as his extended Feeley and Kelly family and friends.
Family and friends are welcome to gather for visitation on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00PM at the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield.
Funeral services will begin at 7:30PM with prayers and military honors at the funeral home.

Larry worked for a moving company and I started working there he was head of all the commercial office moves and managed the movers. Then Larry moved on to another moving Co. In Princeton NJ And I followed him he was a driver and I worked with Larry on the trucks. He was a great man to work with and fun he was built like a rock and I know that we were sparring in the warehouse he hit me in the arm like a sledge hammer I quite lol Karry I often thinking of you

Larry I often think of you and when we worked together Benton and Holden/ Bohren's M&S could remember when we were on jobs where the summer kids couldn't even pick up the heavy dressers you would call on me and you and I would pickup the dressers I can remember when I picked up that dresser I started getting red in the face and my eyes popped out you got so red and started laughing and said put the piece down but we handled it we got it in you were a great man and I miss you so much we had some fun times at work rest in peace my friend and thank you sir for your service

So sorry for your loss my prayers to the family Larry was a great man I first knew Larry at Benton and Holden Moving and Storage work with him there and then worked with Larry at bohren's United Van Lines we did many of jobs together what a wonderful man I've thought about him and said to myself I'm going to look him up and to my surprise he's with the Lord now rest in peace my friend
