Lois Adams, 79, of North Plainfield, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in Somerville, NJ with her loving family by her side. Born in Plainfield, NJ, she was the daughter of the late James and Doris (Crowley) Kane.

A longtime resident of North Plainfield, Lois worked for many years as a CNA, most recently for Raritan Health. She was a lifetime communicant of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Plainfield, NJ, where she was a member of Senior Center. She also loved her semiannual trips to Williamsburg, VA and spending time down at the Jersey shore in Lavallette. Most of all, she cherished her role as grandmother to her 10 grandchildren. Lois will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lois was predeceased by her son, James Adams on April 1, 2014. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Persinko and husband Mark of Manville, NJ, Kathleen Shoolbraid and husband Rich of Califon, NJ; her sons, Timmy Adams and wife Lynn of Manville, NJ, Mark Adams of Raritan, NJ, Brian Adams and wife Moriah of Oklahoma City, OK and Keith Adams and wife Debra of Hunterdon County, NJ. She is also survived by her sister, Eileen Babin of North Plainfield, NJ, her 10 cherished grandchildren, her nephew and 2 nieces as well as by countless friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Sheenan Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at St. Bernards Church in Plainfield, NJ. There are no services at the funeral home. A mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 7, at 10:00 AM at St. Bernard's Church. All other arrangements are private. The family asks that donations be made in Lois' name to St. Bernard's Church.
