Mabel E. Farrell died Friday March 7, 2014 in Summit, NJ. She was 86. Mabel was born in New Market, NJ a daughter to the late Alice (Belding) and John S. Myers living in Dunellen before moving to Warren in 1950. She was a graduate from Dunellen High School, and worked as a waitress at the King George Inn in Warren, and the Warren Lake Edge Restaurant in Watchung. Mae was a member of the Warren Township Rescue Squad Auxillary, the Daughters of the American Revolution, was a Troop leader for the Girl Scouts and was a Den Mother for the Bot Scouts. She loved to knit, specializing in Scarves, and was an avid cook, and was famous for Mae's Cheesecakes.

She was predeceased by her son John T. Farrell in 2013. She is survived by her husband of 64 years John D. Farrell, 2 daughters Judith A. and her husband Robert Desiderio and Jill and her husband Mark Fairchild, 4 grandchildren Ryan, Jena, Carlee and Brooke, and a great granddaughter Emily, her step-mother Margaret Wetherington, a half brother Walter Myers, and a half sister Janet Thomas.

A memorial visitation will be Tuesday March 11, 2014 from 3 - 6 PM at Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ 07933.
