Margaret "Peggy" Drum

South River - MARGARET "PEGGY" DRUM passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick, where she was surrounded by her loving family members. She was 82. Born in Newark, she moved to South River in 1959 and resided there for 59 years.Margaret was a homemaker, and loved to spend time with her family. She loved to read, cook, play cards, and go for long car rides. Her life was devoted to her family and friends. She also loved going to Mass every week at Corpus Christi Church in South River.She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.Margaret was predeceased by her loving husband of 34 years, John Patrick Drum; daughter, Mary Ann Drum; parents, James F. and Margaret M. Cullen; four brothers, L. William and his wife Dorothy, John, James and Eugene Cullen; a sister, Patricia Krupka and her husband Charles; and a brother-in-law, Michael Dolan.She is survived by five children, Patrick Drum and his wife, Teresa, of Marlboro, Theresa Grossweiler and her husband, Richard, of South River, John Drum and his wife, Katharina, of Manalapan, James Drum of South River, and Joseph Drum and his wife, Darlene, of South River; two sisters, Eileen Mooney and her husband, Jack, of Manahawkin, and Teresa Dolan of East Brunswick; three sisters-in-law, Camille Cullen of Blairstown, Eunice Cullen of North Arlington, and Kathleen Cullen of Manahawkin; sixteen grandchildren, Kelly, Shannon, Patrick, John, Kirk, Pat, Colin, Megan, Taylor, Sara, Joey, Darlene, Thomas and Billy Drum, and Maggie and Megan Grossweiler, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 19, 9:15 AM at The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
