Marie H. Baumann Koch died Monday, November 18, 2013, at St. Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was 81. She was born and raised in Sayreville, before moving to Spotswood 49 years ago. Throughout her life time she worked for Johnson & Johnson, NJ Turnpike Authority and Sunshine Biscuits. Mrs. Koch was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. She was past District Deputy of the Southwest Chapter of the Columbiettes; past President of the Immaculate Conception Church Columbiettes; as well as past President of the Polish American Club in Spotswood. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society of Spotswood; Director of St. Vincent De Paul food pantry in New Brunswick; Den Leader of The Boy Scouts of America; Girl Scout Leader; and was involved with the school PTA.

Mrs. Koch was predeceased by her husband, Edward Koch in 1995; and her son Edward Jr. in 1983. Surviving are her daughter, Kathleen Ruffe and her husband Paul of North Brunswick; 3 sons, Kenneth and his wife Christine of Flowery Branch, GA, Steven and his wife Gisele of Pembroke Pines, FL, and Dennis and his wife Eleonor of Spotswood; a brother, Alfred Baumann of South River; 5 sisters, Ann J. Baumann, Joan A. Baumann and Phyllis Baumann, all of Sayreville, Nancy Nita of Monroe Township, and Carol Redwood of Bordentown; and 9 grandchildren; Matthew, Kristin, Elizabeth, Alexander, Kyle, Jake, Jamie, Ryan Patrick and Gabriella.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, 9:30 AM, at The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a 10:15 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
