MARIE V. SGROMOLO
PERTH AMBOY
Marie V. (nee: Coley) Sgromolo, of Perth Amboy, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010 at the Raritan Bay Medical Center Perth Amboy. She was born in Perth Amboy, and was formerly of Connecticut and Indiana, before moving back to Perth Amboy. She was a communicant of Most Holy Rosary Church in Hopelawn and was a member of the Holy Rosary Seniors and Ladies Guild.
She is predeceased by her former husband, the late Albert Sgromolo who died in 1997 and her sister, Joan Moran. She is survived by her son, Joseph Sgromolo and his wife Nancy of Pt. Pleasant Beach, and her 2 daughters, Nancy Di Forti, with whom she resided and Marie T. Sgromolo and her husband David Roughton of North Carolina; her 3 granddaughters, Danielle, Gina, and Danica; her brother, Louis Coley of Lexington, NC and her very dear friend Steve Cser. Also surviving are several nieces nephews.
Funeral Services will be on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 at 9 a.m. from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at The Church of the Most Holy Rosary in Hopelawn. Interment will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery Fords. Visitation will be on Friday Feb. 19, 2010, from 2-4 p.m. & 7- 9 p.m. In Lieu of Flowers Contributions may be made in her memory to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Dear Sgromolo Family,
I knew Marie when we worked together many years ago at Parnes Bakery in Perth Amboy. She was a really nice person and so funny. And, Nancy, we went to Holy Rosary together for a short time.
