Martin Naughton Obituary
Woodbridge - Martin Naughton, Sr., 70 formerly of Woodbridge passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick.
Born in Jersey City, Martin resided in Woodbridge for 40 years before moving to Brick just two years ago. Martin honorably served in the United States Army, stationed in Korea and was later employed as a loan advisor for Woodbridge Township. Mr. Naughton was a member of the Woodbridge Knights of Columbus #857 where he held the position of Treasurer of the Columbian Club and the St. Joseph High School Alumni Association. Martin was a loving family man who was always proud of his Irish heritage, an avid reader and loyal New York Giants Fan. He will be sorely missed by his many beloved family and friends.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Rosemary (Harrigan) Naughton; children, Siobhan Sarafin and her husband John, Martin Naughton, Jr. and his wife Nancy Yorlano; siblings, Edward Naughton, Marita Rea, Mary Ellen Grant, Neil Naughton and Madonna LaPorta. Also surviving are Martin's aunts, uncles, many cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Funeral services will begin at 10am on Monday, June 4, 2018 from GERITY & CHUBENKO FUNERAL HOME, 411 Amboy Avenue, Woodbridge followed by a 10:30am mass of resurrection at St. James R.C. Church in Woodbridge. Cremation will be private.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 2pm to 6pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Martin may be made to St. James School Tuition Angel, 341 Amboy Avenue, Woodbridge, NJ 07095.
