Master Sergeant Robert "Munchkin" C. Sheridan, US Army, Retired
Scranton, PA

Master Sergeant Robert "Munchkin" C. Sheridan, US Army, Retired, of Scranton, PA died Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Linwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following an illness. His wife is the former Carmen Cruz, the couple married June 20, 1970. Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, he was the son of Bernadette Phillips Sheridan, Carteret, New Jersey and the late Clarence Sheridan. He was educated in New Jersey Schools and proudly served in the United States Army Special Forces for over 23 years, serving several tours of duty all over the world, including Panama, other Central American countries, and also Europe and the Middle East. He was a member of the American Legion, and St. Peters Cathedral, Scranton.

Also surviving is a daughter, Colleen Neveroski and husband Robert Jr., Scranton; two sons, Robert Sheridan and fiancée Jamie Eastwood, Old Forge, Joseph Peter Sheridan, serving with the U.S. Navy in California; a sister, Kathryn and husband Richard Joel Petrocy, Carteret, New Jersey; grandchildren, America, Ellis, Ryan Saxe; a nephew, Jordan Perocy and an uncle.

The funeral will be conducted on Saturday from the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 North Main Ave., with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.M. in St. Peter Cathedral, 315 Wyoming Ave. Interment with full military honors will follow at Cathedral Cemetery.
