Melissa Lynn Crompton "Mel-Z", 41, of Bradley Beach, suddenly passed away on July 5, 2021. She was born on May 4, 1980 in Neptune, New Jersey to her loving parents, Richard and Marlene. Melissa grew up in Wall Township and graduated from Wall Township High School. After graduation, Melissa became a hairstylist and worked many years for Salon L. in Allenhurst. Several years ago she started her own business, Have Scissors Will Travel. Melissa was also the manager of Nourish by Nature in Belmar for the past four years.

Melissa was a beautiful spirit and was extremely dedicated to her yoga practices and her little Puggle Boris. She had a passion for the beach and biking, especially with her best friend Rachel Wallace. She loved going to see live music and enjoyed traveling, especially to Saint Maarten, Iceland and Costa Rica. Growing up Melissa loved traveling to different race tracks to race her quarter midget with her father and her brother Richard "Opie".

Melissa had a big heart and has touched the lives of so many people with her beautiful smile and free spirit. She was a special friend, sister, and daughter. She is survived by her father Richard Crompton, her mother Marlene Aumack and her husband Robert, her brother Richard Crompton and his wife Colleen. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be on Friday, July 9th from 4pm to 8pm at the Reilly Bonner Funeral Home located at 801 D Street, Belmar, New Jersey. A Celebration of Life for Melissa will be held on Thursday, July 15th at 4pm at Brinley Avenue Beach in Bradley Beach.
