Michael V. Mastromauro, 86, of Hazlet, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel. Michael was born on November 14, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY. He was raised in Corona, Queens, NY and in 1963, he and his wife, Emily, and daughter, Anne, settled in Hazlet. Michael worked as a mechanic for Lily Tulip Co. in Holmdel and also worked in maintenance for Bayshore Community Hospital, where he retired. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy serving on the USS Taylor. Michael's favorite pastimes were making stain glass lamps, sun catchers and night lights. He loved spending time in Atlantic City and he was known as "Mr. Fix It."

He was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Rose (Bruno) Mastromauro. Michael is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 62 years, Emily (Germano) Mastromauro; his loving daughter, Anne Fitzgerald and her husband Albert of Matawan and many adored nieces, nephews and cherished friends. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
