You'll always be missed Uncle Paul. Your courage to leave the safety of the home you knew and travel across the continent to pursue the life you knew you were meant to has always been an inspiration to me. I guess you knew that it wouldn't be fair for only the east coast to have the opportunity to know such a great guy. :) Best wishes to Carla and the rest of your west coast family!
Your nephew,
Jeffrey Paul Weller

To Uncle Paul,
Years & distance may have kept us far apart, but you are family and will always stay in my heart. As a small child I remember you helping me climb the big tree in Mommom & Jadge's front yard.
To Carla and Paul's west coast family, my deepest well wishes.

My Uncle Paul,
Even though I only met you once or twice, I was so upset to hear that you passed. I wish we could have seen each other more than we did but those memories will be with me forever.

My Brother Pablo;
As an older brother, you probably never realized the influence one has over a younger sibling. Over the years, relationships grow and change always adding to the memories that last a lifetime. As a kid, I idolized my 7 year older athletic brother .. from attending it seemed like every football and basketball game to polishing the chrome on his first car (ugly maroon vw). Then, after college, upon my visits to CA, the 7 year age difference vanished. We hung out as friends, had both funny and serious discussions...I felt part of your world (a great feeling for that kid of time past). And finally the last chapter, where we (Deb and I) were able to spend time and feel the happiness you had toward your new family...very special.
I will miss you bro...and I'm mostly upset we never made it to that Sharks game we talked about (then again we never talked hockey!).

My Dear Brother Paul, why did you have to go
How much you are missed and loved, will you ever know
No sense of this loss ever can be made
All the love and memories, never will they fade
We had distance in miles and roads between us all
But no distance in love and caring, for you Brother Paul
Love, your sister, Judy

To Carla and all your loved ones,
It's hard to accept that my brother-in-law has gone home to heaven, but I am relieved for all of you that the hard time of his illness is done. I will always have 2 distinct memories in my heart of Paul---the first is how hard we laughed when we were posing for that sibling photo for Mom and Dad,-and Paul was behind all that laughter! and the other is how our boys always thought of Paul as a "giant" because he literally picked them up and lifted them to the ceiling in our new house! Of course, he was---and is---a giant. The tributes from your family and friends are surely proof of this! At least we know that the day will come when we're reunited, and there will be only peace of heart and joy!
With love and prayers,
Leslie

To My Dearest Friend Carla,
Words can not express my sorrow for you, for you loosing the love of your life. Sitting next to you at work and taking our morning coffee breaks, we would share our day and I’m going to miss hearing about PJ and how much you love him. But now PJ is resting or up in heaven fixing doors and painting walls.
Your Friend

Heaven must have been getting a little dull and depressing, because God took one of the most comical, fun-loving people I've ever known. Until we meet again, big brother!

I will always remember playing basketball on the side of Mom and Dad's house, or touch football in the street, and sharing the room with you when we were kids. You brought happiness to many people. You sure will be missed. Your big brother Tom.
