AGE: 51 • Sayreville
Paul A. Pantano, 51, of Sayreville, NJ passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at his home. Born and raised in Bronx, NY before moving to Old Bridge, NJ 36 years ago. Paul was an avid pool player, he enjoyed drawing and building things, he loved to fish and most important to him was spending time with his son. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was predeceased by his father Paul in 2007. Surviving are his wife of 20 years Linda, their son Paul, his mother Carol, his sisters, Dawn Mortimer and Diane Mazzola, and many loving nieces, and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to visit the Old Bridge Funeral Home 2350 Route 516, Old Bridge, NJ 08857 on Thursday June 4, 2015 from 4:30 - 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday June 5, 2015 at 11am at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Autism Speaks at 1060 State Road, 2nd Floor Princeton, NJ 08540. Today, just by chance, I learned of the passing of Paul. He and I were very good friends in high school and both graduated in 1981, we were on the track team and ran the 440 and mile relay together. I lost touch with him as we eventually parted ways to go to college and move on with our respective lives. I moved to Piscataway NJ in the early 1990s. I tried to look him up on social media through the years but always figured "I'll get ahold of him eventually". On June 12th, my wife and I just happened to stop in the Old Bridge Diner and just heard some folks talking about Cedar Ridge and the class of '81 and decided to join the conversation. I mentioned his name and the fact that I had always wanted to get back in touch with him, and this is when I received the very sad news. It was just a few days too late. Never put off to tomorrow what you really should do today. Rest in peace my friend...and may God look after your family.
