Percell Jones Obituary
AGE: 73 • Edison
Percell "Ray" Jones, 73, passed away on January 17, 2017 at Haven Hospice, Edison. Born in Henderson, North Carolina, Percell lived in Rahway. He retired from the Rahway School System after 35 years of dedicated service.
Percell is survived by his wife Bertha Jones; his children Cynthia Goings (Kenneth), Dawn Hargrett (Leslie) and Ronald Foreman; his sisters Mildred Green and Linda Richardson (Kenny); his brothers Curtis Jones (Debra), Johnny Jones and Arthur Jones; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday morning from 9 to 10 AM at First Baptist Church of Woodbridge, 130 Sewaren Avenue, Sewaren. The funeral service will follow starting at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park and Cemetery, Union.
Arrangements are by the Jones Funeral Home, Rahway.

Our deepest condolences again to you Ms Bertha, and the entire family on your loss. Ray was a man of great character. He was a true friend and mentor to so many of us, as he led by example.
Everette and I will always be thankful for our time with him, especially on Amelia Island. Our fond memories and lessons learned from Ray will not soon fade.

I knew "Ray" from years ago in Roosevelt School, almost 30 years ago when my children attended that school, and from the City of Rahway. All the kids loved Mr. Jones. He was a kind and generous man. May the Lord be with you and your family, the memories will keep you comforted. Look in the faces of your little ones, they fill the hole in your heart!
