Peter Bigler Obituary
PETER ALFORD BIGLER
AGE: 60 EDISON
Peter Alford Bigler, IV, age 60 died February 20 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Newark, he lived in Edison for the last 32 years. Peter worked for many years at Bristol Myers-Squibb, where his last position held was in the Research and Development Department. He was an active member of the Italian-American Club in Edison and enjoyed many friendships with fellow members.
Peter was predeceased by his father, Peter Alford Bigler III and his mother-in-law, Esther Kopsco. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Elaine Kopsco Bigler of Edison, his mother Mildred Bigler of Little River, SC and a daughter, Lauren Bigler of Edison. Also surviving are his brother Robert Bigler and his wife Barbara and their children in Delaware and Peter's brother-in-law Daniel Kopsco of Edison.
A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, February 23 at 6 p.m. at the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12-2 p.m. and 5-7 p.m.

I only met Peter about one year ago. He truly left an impact on my life. He had a great sense of humor, always made me laugh and those around him. Peter loved his family dearly, especially his only daughter Lauren. They had a special bond that truly touched me.
Peter made me feel like a part of his family and I am thankful for that.
Peter was a great man who will be missed dearly.
To Elaine and Lauren my heart goes out to you for your loss.

It's been a long hard road for you over the past few years. Especially the past six months. Thank you for allowing me the honor of being with you while you passed from this life to the next.
Thank you for being such a cherished Uncle and for always showing your support for me regarding my son Jason. I am truly grateful that got to meet you before you passed.
Through you, you brought my dad closer to our family and who can now have a better relationship with his grandchildren.
Thank you for mending rifts and showing the true meaning of what family is.
You will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
