I somehow searched Rich Hardish as I fondly remember him as a baseball and basketball
coach in my early teen years growing up in Woodbridge NJ.
He was a really good man who always had time and encouragement for us kids.
He showed us what a major league curveball looked like.
I´ll never forget him taking us to the Polo Grounds in NY to watch
the NY Titans play the San Diego
Chargers in football. I am now 78 and had a great life having
gone to the USAFA, flew in the Air Force and with American Airlines. I hope someone reads
this who will smile that Rich Hardish really helped in life
some kid from NJ.

In response to Mr. Hardish's family: I've been researching the history of minor-league baseball in my hometown of Jackson, Tennessee, for the past 15 years. I even wrote a book about it. I wish I had been able to contact him for his memories of playing for the Jackson Generals. Feel free to contact me.

Deepest condolences to the Hardish family. I'm familiar with Mr. Hardish's professional baseball career with the Jackson Generals in the Kitty League in 1954. His first victory of the season broke a historic 27-game losing streak.

Dear Aunt Elsie, Susan, Rich and John, we are so sorry for your loss. We thought Uncle Richie was a great guy and enjoyed talking to him whenever we saw him. Even though it seemed like there was always a too much time between those talks, I could always count on a passionate conversation about the Giants, Mets and golf. He will be missed.
Sincerely,
Joe and Denise Fuzak

Dear Aunt Elsie, Susan, Richard, and John,
I was so sad to hear about Uncle Richie I have so many happy memories of him; he always teased me about cutting my baloney curls when I was little - that memory will always leave a smile on my face. His love of sports always made for easy conversations with Alan. We will all miss him and wish you peace and comfort during this difficult time. God Bless you all.
With Love,
Linda, Alan, and Family

Dear Elsie and Family,
Our hearts grieve for the loss of a dear friend and mentor. I wish I knew him when I was growing up as a fellow Hopelawnian. I thought of him on his birthday, January 31, and said a prayer. He was one of the kindest people we ever had the pleasure of knowing. May he be in the arms of the Lord, his body whole, and free from pain and discomfort. I wish I had the opportunity to see him, but I know he didn't want visitors. He was an asset to the team at Watchung Spring Water, and his positive influence on others got the job done. I was honored to have him teach me the result of hard work, a strong work ethic, and respecting others. We will really miss you, dear man. Hopefully we will meet again.
Love and peace, Shelli & Mike Bzdewka
