New Jersey is a little less bright with the passing of Dr. Duell. Dr Duell was my advisor when I was an undergraduate at Rutgers. He was always full of great advise and stories. I never forgot the story of the little boy in Brazil that they had over for dinner and served him meat and potatoes. After eating the little boy asked him if they were not going to have "comidas" as he was waiting for the rice and beans....it was more humorous the way Dr. Duell told it.

He was such a nice person that I decided to work as his technician for the last year before he retired. He will be missed by his Rutgers colleagues and previous students for all he offered.

My condolences to his wife, children, and grandchildren.
