Our Uncle Bob was a very funny guy who had a big heart. Nobody embodied the spirit of Santa Claus like he did! An active member of many Catholic and community organizations, he volunteered with kindness to bring cheerfulness to others.
Uncle Bob LOVED jokes! We never knew anyone who delighted in a mischievous birthday card more than Uncle Bob. He loved the adventures of King Kong, Hercules, Bonanza, and the Mets. He was amused by his cats, calling them by his pet names like "the Governor" and "Buffy O'Meowski".
Uncle Bob had great respect for the institutions and spirit of church and state. He read at least two newspapers every day, and had an incredible memory for people, politics, and sports. We cherish memories of times spent in recent years playing trivia games and listening to him talk about his Navy life, Rahway, his family, his cats and his politics.
Uncle Bob deeply loved his family, his parents, older brother, nephews and great nephews, and especially his beloved sister, Carol. He had time for everyone.
We will miss Uncle Bob, and will never forget him. We can see his smile and hear his laughter as we write this. The joy and the love that was Uncle Bob live on in our hearts and in our memories.
Uncle Bob, may you rest in peace in the presence of our Lord.
Bob, Margaret, Sean and Vincent

We shared Memorial Day Parade and Veterans Day activities for many years for the Rahway Veterans Central Committee. He was always there for veterans.
Good memories for a Tin Can Sailer.
