Robert Kinsey Obituary

Robert Joseph Kinsey

Millstone Township - Robert Joseph Kinsey, 58, of Millstone Township passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, September 19, 2018. Bob was born in New Brunswick and had lived in Milltown prior to settling in Millstone Township in 1994 to raise his family.

Bob graduated from St. Peters High School and continued his education at Trenton State College. A CPA by trade, his career path began at McLaughlin, Proscia & Company, moving on to Kenneth Leventhal then Kinsey Beck & Co., all in NYC, and more recently as the owner of Kinsey & Company LLC in Millstone Township. Bob began his career in local politics in 2004 as a Township Committeeman on the governing body of Millstone Township, and served as Deputy Mayor and Mayor. He put his heart and soul into his commitment and his expertise in finance was an asset to the community. Known by all as Mongoose or Goose, Bob loved skiing in Killington, boating in Lake George, working in the yard and being with his family. Bob was his girls biggest fan, involved in every aspect of their lives and supported them in everything. He will now be their guardian angel, watching over and protecting his family.

He was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Kinsey. Bob is survived by his wife of 29 years, Paula Kinsey; three beautiful daughters, Taylor Elizabeth and her fiancée, Trevor Toms, Kristina Faye and Alexandra Quinn all of Millstone Township; parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Kinsey of Milltown; brother, Joseph Kinsey and his wife, Karen of South Brunswick; in-laws, Dr. Thomas and Theresa Bellavia of Paramus, Carolyn Bellavia of Manahawkin, Brian Bellavia of Orlando, FL, Denise Allegretta and her husband, Michael of Hackensack, Lara Scolpino of Pompton Lakes, and Alanna Costantino and her husband, Johnny of River Vale; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGIrr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Very sorry to hear this. I was just going through some old names of school friends of days long ago. I enjoyed talking with Bob in school and playing a bit of basketball at St. Peter's Elem.

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your husband and father. Living in the town, of Millstone, I observed Bob to be a nice and competent man who served many years in our community. Hope time heals your sorrow and I lost my husband to cancer, a year and a half ago, and it does get better. God bless, Patty Oneill.
