Robert A. 'Knobby' Knoblock

Robert A. 'Knobby' Knoblock died on Thursday October 1, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 66 years old. Mr. Knoblock was born in New Brunswick. He lived in South River and has resided in Monroe Twp. since 1971. He was a retired sheet metal worker for Union Local 27 in New Brunswick. He was a long time member of the Jamesburg Elks Lodge 2180 and played in their dart league. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge 263 in North Brunswick and was an avid fisherman, hunter, remote controller, and fan of the New York Giants and Kansas City Royals. He especially enjoyed spending time at the Elks Lodge and throwing back beers with his brother Elks. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph Knoblock.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 44 years, Denise M. (Cleary) Knoblock of Monroe Twp., his daughter, Janine G. Besser and her husband Brian of Lanoka Harbor, his brother, Richard Knoblock of Lawrenceville, GA, two grandchildren, Kody, and Marley who he affectionately referred to as Bud and Missy, respectively, his honorary daughter, Traci and her daughter Vanessa, his sidekick, Baylea, and many other extended family members.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9pm on Tuesday October 6, 2015 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 - 732-521-0555 - www.demarcofuneralhome.com. A wake service with officers and members of Elks Lodge 2180 will be at 7:30pm. Funeral services will begin at 9:30am on Wednesday October 7, 2015 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10am at St. James the Less RC Church, Jamesburg followed by Committal and Cremation at Holy Cross Burial Park Crematory, South Brunswick.
