Robert Schneider Obituary
AGE: 70 • Bridgewater
Robert Schneider MD, 70, died July 28, 2013. Dr. Schneider was born in the Dominican, Republic and was formerly of New York City before moving to Bridgewater in 1976. He established his successful private practice in Dermatology and Dermatological Surgery in Bridgewater in 1976. He graduated from the City College of New York in 1964 with a B.S. Degree. He received his M.D. degree from the Faculty of Medicine of the Free University of Brussels, Belgium in 1971.He completed his residency in Dermatology at Albert Einstein-Bronx Municipal Hospital, Bronx, NY in 1975. In 1977 he was board certified in dermatology. He was a member of Temple Sholom in Bridgewater, the Medical Societies of Somerset County and New Jersey, the American Medical Society, a Fellow member of American Academy of Dermatology and a member of Dermatological Society of New Jersey. Dr. Schneider was also an attending physician at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling, camping, skiing and biking. He will be sadly missed by all.
Surviving are his loving wife of 49 years, Phyllis, his daughter, Joelle Schnaider and her husband Dov, his sons, Joshua and Jonathan and two grandchildren Lola and Zohar.
Funeral services will be 12noon Monday at Temple Sholom, 594 No. Bridge St. Bridgewater. Interment will follow at Temple Sholom Cemetery, Chimney Rock Rd. Bridgewater. Arrangements by Bruce VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 No. Gaston Ave, Somerville.

I am so saddened to hear of Dr. Schneider's passing. My daughter Tara, age 6 has been a patient of his for a couple of years. She absolutely LOVES him! I am not even sure how I'll tell her. We had an appt. just before he passed that was canceled. She has been asking me how he is after i told he was not well. How I wish we would have gotten to see him again. He really was a wonderful Doctor, it was always a fun time when we had an appt. which isn't the norm with kids and Doctors! My older daughter, Lena age 9, was very fond of him as well, but Tara saw him more offer and I know will forever remember him! My heartfelt sympathies, to his family and friends.

I have been dr schneiders pt for over 39 years. He gave me hope and made me feel my psoriasis was just a little part of me. He always took care of me and I really valued his expertise with his humor and charastmic style. I was always amazed with all the details he remembered. Thank you for all the care through my years as your patient you will be missed and remembered fondly

I was shocked to say the least, of hearing this. I was a long time patient of DR.Schneider's and contractor who did several job's at his residence over the years. My deepest sympathy's to his wife Phyllis and family.
