ROBERT JAY STAUDT
AGE: 70 HILLSBOROUGH
Robert Jay Staudt, 70, died peacefully at home on Wednesday January 5, 2011. He was born in New Brunswick, NJ and grew up in Middlebush, NJ before moving to Hillsborough in 1975. Robert was the proprietor of the Hillsborough 7/11 on Rt. 206 for over 20 years before selling it about 15 years ago. He enjoyed horse racing, especially at Monmouth and Saratoga, traveling with friends, rooting for the NY Giants and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Robert was predeceased by his sister Mary Jo Staudt (2002) Surviving are his wife of 50 years Rose Marie, his children Robert and his wife Nan Staudt of Ringoes, Mark and his wife Jessica Staudt of Three Bridges, Kimberly Staudt and her companion David Fraser and Jill and her husband Gary Jansen of Hillsborough and his 7 loving grandchildren, Marissa and Luke Jansen, Bradley, Jeffrey, Chloe, Nicholas and Charlie Staudt.
A funeral service will be Monday January 10th at 10 am in the Hillsborough Funeral Home, 796 Rt. 206, Hillsborough. Burial will be in Neshanic Cemetery. Visiting will be Sunday from
2 pm - 5 pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942
