Russell E. Graser

AGE: 80 • Edison

Russell E. Graser died on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at his home in Woodbridge. He was 80. Born in Iselin, he resided in Edison before moving to Woodbridge 46 years ago. Mr. Graser was employed as a mechanic with Mid-Atlantic Truck Centre in Linden prior to his retirement; and had previously been employed by Kimball's Auto Service and B&F Auto. He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War; and enjoyed bowling, crabbing and spending time with his grandson.

Mr. Graser was predeceased by a grandson, Nicholas Farruggia; his parents, Charles and Olive Graser; three sisters, Florence Booth, Alice Funk and Geraldine Graser; and seven brothers, Charles, Howard, Robert, Kenneth, Phillip, Richard and Lenard Graser. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Mary Ann Conran Graser; a daughter, Terry Farruggia and her husband, Salvatore, Sr., of Bloomingdale; grandson, Salvatore Farruggia, Jr.; two sisters, Olive Tongue, of Garwood and Gladys Waynor of Edison; two godchildren, Deborah Parrott and David Waynor; and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 6, 2011 10:30 a.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (www.costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. Interment will follow in Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association (diabetes.org), P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.

Russ was one great guy . I worked with him at Mid Atlantic and he was such a nice guy. I am very sad to hear of his passing . Russ and his family are in my thoughts and prayers
