AGE: 86 • Marlboro
Salvatore Avino, 86, of Marlboro, NJ passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at home. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Sal moved to Marlboro in 1983. He was a veteran of the Korean War and worked for General Motors Corporation for over 30 years, retiring in 1992. Sal enjoyed watching football and soccer; especially his favorite team the New York Giants. Most importantly, Sal was a lifetime supporter and coach to his sons many soccer endeavors. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Debra, two sons Salvatore G. and wife Priscilla Avino, Michael S. and wife Nikki Avino, as well as two grandchildren Jayden and Adalynn. Relatives and friends are invited to visit the Waitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 501 Highway 79, Morganville, NJ 07751 on Sunday February 12, 2017 from 3-7pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday February 13, 2017 at 11:30 am at the Funeral Home followed by interment in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veteran Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. Sad to see Sal passed away, i knew him from soccer reffing with his son Sal back in late 1990's .....RIP, Happened to be searching for Sal junior and my search picked up his Fathers passing. May he RIP. Regards Roy Stapleton Morganville NJ
