Sebastian Charles "Red" West

AGE: 89 • formerly of Wanamassa

(1925 - 2015). Sebastian Charles "Red" West, 89, formerly of Wanamassa passed away on April 26, 2015 at his home in Port Richey, Florida. Born in Asbury Park, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a Master Plumber and the owner of "Red's Plumbing and Heating." Red was very active serving his community. He was a Life member of the Wanamassa Fire Company and Wanamassa Fireman's Exempt Association. He was also a Life Member of the Wanamassa First Aid Squad, serving as Captain in 1966.

A man who was devoted to his family, he was the son of the late Harry and Margaret West and was predeceased by his brother Edward West. Red was predeceased by his loving wife of 69 years, Betty, who passed away on April 3, 2015. He is greatly missed by his son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Ronnie West of Wanamassa, and his daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Fred Rawles of Charleston, SC; his brother, Harry West, Jr. of Neptune; granddaughters Jessica, Susan, Robin and Jillian; and great-granddaughters Isabella and Charlotte.

Funeral services are provided by the Francioni, Taylor and Lopez Funeral Home. Interment is family only at Hamilton Cemetery, Neptune City.
