Theresa Rose Walsh D'Angelo

AGE: 93 • Brick

Theresa Rose Walsh D'Angelo, 93 formerly of Piscataway, NJ died peacefully on Saturday May 14th surrounded by her family. Born to her late parents Andrew and Sarah Walsh (nee Holland) on February 11th, 1923 in the coal mining town of Moosic, PA, she was the wife of the late Alessio "Tony" D'Angelo who departed this earth January 26th, 2011; they were married for almost 66 years. Mrs. D'Angelo lived the majority of her life in Piscataway, NJ and was an active member of the community and Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church. In May of 2009, she and her husband moved to Titusville, NJ to live with their son, Joseph.

During WWII, Mrs. D'Angelo worked in Newark, NJ making "tail-fins" for bombs, was a "pin-up" girl, and was involved in the USO. After the move from Newark to Piscataway with her husband, she worked for 15 years as a bank teller at The First National Bank of Dunellen, NJ. She later dedicated herself as a housewife and homemaker to her family. She enjoyed going to Sunday mass, vacationing with family each year at the Jersey Shore, dining and dancing with her husband. She later continued to work at the Piscataway High School cafeteria as a cashier with her husband until May of 2008.

Predeceased by eight siblings, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Paul Romanoski of Whitehouse Station, NJ, her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Christine D'Angelo of Addison, TX, her granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Kristin and John Lombardo of North Brunswick, NJ, her grandsons John D'Angelo and Tyler Perez of Lawrenceville, NJ, and her grandson Lt. Ryan Perez, USA of Tacoma, WA.

Family and friends may visit from 5pm to 9pm Friday, May 20, 2016, and 9:15am to 9:45am Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic, 501 New Market Road, Piscataway, NJ. Entombment will be held at a later date at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's Association, alz.org.
