Mrs. Boyd visited our home over 40 years ago when my mother was very sick and we were small children. Her kindness was never forgotten. Thank you, Mrs. Boyd.

Mrs. Boyd was a part of my very young childhood due to her and my Mother being good friends. I've always known of her of being kind and well educated. To me she was like a Motherly Figure to all the children that were blessed to have had such a wonderful woman as part of their childhood. May she rest in Peace…

Mrs. Boyd, as she was known to me, always was such a kind woman to me no matter what the situation was. As a child, she was in my elementary school regularly as the nurse and would lovingly take care of me when I was sick. At her home, she frequently had something sweet for us to eat, pie or ice cream or cookies. My brother and I played with her son Timmy as young children do. My fondest memories of Mrs. Boyd is in October every year we would go to Hacklebarney State Park in Long Valley, NJ and have a family picnic together. My mom and Mrs. Boyd had always prepared the most delicious food, while us three boys played in the little creek nearby splashing each other and climbing on all the rocks. Mr. Boyd would always bring a radio so he could listen to the baseball games while we were picnicing. We built fires, cooked hamburgers/hotdogs, and later toasted mashmallows together. It was such a joyous time of my life growing up with the Boyd family in Middlesex, NJ. Later in the late 80's, I bought a house only 2 doors away from the Boyd's home on Loraine Ave and spent many times talking together and running into each other in the local markets. I also remember many times when Mrs. Boyd came to our home. Sometimes as a friend, other times as a visiting nurse. She was very dedicated to her work and her patience as she loved people and being together with them was very important to her. Serving others needs was always high on her priority list and it showed. My own mom is still here with me, however Mrs. Boyd is now the last of my childhood moms that I loved and felt real love from. You will be dearly missed Mrs. Boyd. Thank you for all the love you shared with me over the 50+ years I have known you!
