Thomas Giordano Obituary
AGE: 79 • Avenel
Thomas Giordano, 79 of Avenel passed away on Wednesday, March 5th at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in Rahway. Born in Perth Amboy, Thomas has resided in the Avenel section of Woodbridge for the last 16 years. He was proudly enlisted in the United States Army during the Korean War. Thomas later owned and operated a construction company, DC Trucking and Demolition and played Triple A baseball for the New York Giants. In his spare time, Thomas enjoyed horse racing and watching a good ball game.
Surviving is his wife of 17 years, Donna Giordano, two daughters, Janet Service and her husband Bob of Millstone and Karen Evangelista of Toms River, a son, Thomas Jr. and his wife Erin of Burlington Township, a step-son, Michael Hofmann and his wife Lauren of Avenel, a step-daughter Stacy Hofmann of Avenel, a sister Alberta Molnar of Port Reading and a brother Albert Giordano of Avenel. Also surviving are seven beloved grandchildren, Jason, Dara, Bobby, Nicholas, Thomas III, Justin and Sampson. Thomas was predeceased by his brother, Victor Giordano. Funeral services will begin on Saturday, March 8th at 10:00am from the GERITY & CHUBENKO FUNERAL HOME, 411 Amboy Avenue, Woodbridge followed by entombment at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 7th from 5pm to 9pm at the funeral home.
At the request of the family, donations in Thomas' memory may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, 1275 New York Avenue, New York, NY 10065

Mrs. Servis,
My heart cannot express the sympathy that you are going thru right now. As you encounter many different people in the coming days, you will hear alot of good memories about your dad. You will begin to reflect on your own menoires with him.
But i BELIEVE in a God that sits HIGH & looks LOW & in the stillness of the night when it seems your heart is the heaviest, listen to the quietness & you will find your father there. He will be there in EVERY TEAR & EVERY HEART ACHE!!! REMEBER:to be absent from the body is to present with the Lord, your father is FINALLY at peace.
Just know that you are in my family's prayers & Shawn is missing you dearly!!! you are the BEST TEACHER EVER!!! TEAM SERVIS!!!!
