AGE: 75 • Brick
Veronica C. (Ryan) Fergie, age 75, of Brick Township, N.J. passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at her home. Veronica was born on December 9th, 1941 to the late David and Veronica Ryan in Newark and raised in Kearny. Until her retirement in 1997, Veronica was an Accountant for Southland Accounting. Along with her husband, Veronica relocated to Brick Township in 1964, where she would raise her family. During her leisure time, Veronica was a member of the Breton Woods Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Blue Thong Society and was a volunteer with the Habitat for Humanity non-for-profit organization.
Veronica is preceded in death by her husband the late James Greer Fergie, by her brother David Ryan and by her sister Mary Lou Bland. She is survived by her daughters, Karen Caldwell, and MaryBeth Currie; also survived by her grandchildren, Victoria, Calvin, Ellie and Bradley Caldwell and Matthew, Megan and Sean Currie.
The family will receive relatives and friends for viewing on Monday from 4:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M. at Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Road Brick, N.J. The funeral Mass will be offered Tuesday, 10:30am at St. Mary of the Lake Roman Catholic Church located in Lakewood, N.J. Cremation will be handled privately. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Veronica's memory to the Melanoma Research Foundation by visiting www.melanoma.org Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.weatherheadyoung.com

MaryBeth, Karen we are so sorry. Words can't express how your Mom will be missed. Always smiling and caring about everyone else. Hope all the fun, beautiful memories of your Mom will bring some comfort to you & your families.

Marybeth and Karen -- May the passage of time and the many wonderful memories you have of your mother help you thru this difficult time.
As you know - your mom was a wonderful friend to many people -- We will miss her tremendously in our little Blue Thong Society group -- she was a large presence for all of us. RIP Ronnie -- We will miss you!

To the family of Ronnie, I am so sorry for your loss. She was a great women who I met in a bereavement group and we became friends immediately. She will be missed by all her friends. You will find memories of Ferig to help you during this time of sadness.
