THOMPSON
AGE: 55 MESA, AZ
Victoria A. Thompson, 55, Of Mesa, AZ, passed away at home on December 26, 2010 surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Vicki was a brilliant neo-natal special care nurse formerly employed by Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy for over 26 years. She was an avid Yankee fan, loved travel and always put others first. She was a true friend to many and a loving and devoted mother. Vicki will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is predeceased by her father Robert Laux. Surviving is her loving husband, Fred, her children; Christopher and Brianna, at home, her loving mother, Constance Laux of Middletown, sister Melissa Scott and husband Paul of West Long Branch, and her nephew Matthew Colson of Middletown.
Visitation will be on Monday January 3, 2011 from 9:30am to 11:30am at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave, Red Bank, NJ 07701. A funeral service will follow 11:30am. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made in Vicki's name to the Thompson Children C/o Melissa Scott, 5 Larchwood Ave. West Long Branch, NJ 07764. For My Sister Vicki...I hold you in my heart everyday and think of a lifetime of memories with you. I can only believe that you are in a better place, and at peace, and one day we will all see you again. I promised you I would always be there for Chris and Brianna, so you dont have to worry. You are so very much loved and missed terribly. My heart is sad, but I know you are with me always~ I LOVE YOU !

Vicky was an abolutly amazing neo-natal nurse, who made a real difference in many many peoples lives as she care for their ill new borns, she touched so many. She was also their for all of the family as we had babies, sharing her knoweledge and expertice as she taught us how to better care for our babies. She was a loving and devoted cousin and best friend to Steve, they shared a very special bond that made them more like siblins than cousins. She will be remembered always and deaply missed.
