Vincent Iadevaia of South River, NJ passed away at his home on November 15, 2013. He was 80 years old. Born in Durazzano (BN) Italy, he was the son of the late WWI US Veteran, Michele and Giuseppina (Nee: Abbatiello) Iadevaia.

Vincent came to the US in 1961. In 1963, he married Antonia (Nee: Grasso) and brought her to the US to settle in South River. Even though he was proud of his Native Italy, he knew that America was his home. Having been raised planting and farming, he put this knowledge towards building a business. He and his wife purchased "The Egg Barn", on Riva Avenue, expanded the building and established "Mike's Country Market and Nursery".

He was a passionate wine maker. Vincent's attention to detail and constant monitoring secured a great vintage, year after year. This skill was passed on to the next generations and to a close, special friend. Predeceased by a brother, Tommaso, his sister, Margherita, a nun; he is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Antonia (Grasso), his daughter, Josephine Iadevaia of Milltown, a son and daughter-in-law, Michael & Elena along with their children Vincenzo (Enzo) and Antonia of East Brunswick; two sisters, Rose Stasi of Old Bridge; Maria and her husband Luigi Pascarella of East Brunswick; two brothers, Msgr. Antonio of Italy and John and his wife Angelina of East Brunswick and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday, 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Bronson & Guthlein Funeral Home of Milltown. A funeral mass will be offered Tuesday 10 am at Corpus Christi RC Church of South River.
