Virginia Hedges Obituary
AGE: 91 •
Virginia (Ginny) nee Marsico Hedges passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. She was 91.
Born in Emerson, NJ, Lived in Hackensack, NJ before moving to Toms River, NJ in 1994.
Prior to retiring she had worked at Wright Aeronautical , Shaffer Realty, City of Hackensack as the rent stabilization administrator, Hackensack Police Dept. as secretary in the Juvenile division.
She was a Eucharistic minister at Holy Trinity Church in Hackensack, NJ and St. Joseph's Church in Toms River, NJ. She was also a member of the Rosary Society, Holiday Heights Chorus, as well as an active member of the Holiday Heights Volunteer First Aid for over 20 years, where she served 3 years as assistant secretary. Ginny was an avid reader, and enjoyed spending time at the beach.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William, her daughter Linda and an infant daughter.
Survived by daughters, Carol Hiller and husband Sheldon from Dublin, Ohio, Joyce Murphy from Blakeslee, PA, Son, William and wife Frankie from Hazlet, NJ, and son-in-law Jeff Losche from Wilmington, NC, and her brother Anthony Marsico and his wife Gloria from Fairview, NJ. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and life-long friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday 10 AM at St. Joseph's Church, Toms River. Burial will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Holiday Heights First Aid ,120 Prince Charles Drive, Toms River, NJ 08757

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lived behind Ginny and had no idea what had happened to her. She was an amazing woman who will forever be in my heart, and prayers.

Our heartfelt sympathies to Carol, Joyce, Billy and Jeff and your families. We have very fond memories of Ginny during our many visits to Hackensack as kids. It was such a treat to see Mrs. Hedges who always had a warm smile and hug for all of us! Plus she was Carol's Mom :) Much love from all the See's.

My Aunt Ginny and I have kept in touch most of my adult years. She is the youngest 91 year old I could ever imagine. She is a beautiful lady, inside and out. I have enjoyed all of the times we have spent together and am going to miss her very much. Sending our love to Carol, Billy, Joyce and families. So sad for your loss and ours also.
