William Colburn Obituary
AGE: 70 • Edison
William H. Colburn III, 70, died Monday, June 23, 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in New Brunswick to the late William Jr. and Santa "Sally" Baratta, William was a lifelong resident of Edison. He served honorably with the United States Army while stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War. William was the owner and operator of Craft Towing & Auto Body Repair for over twenty years in Piscataway then Plainfield, he was also a truck driver with Estes Trucking in South Plainfield. He was a member of the VFW Post 4699 Sayreville Memorial Post and had a lifelong passion of restoring cars.
Predeceased by his brother, Jeffrey, surviving are his wife, Margaret "Peggy" Colburn, two daughters; Lauren and Lisa Colburn all of Edison and his sister, Dolores Colburn.
Cremation services were held privately. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 from 12-4PM at the VFW Post 4699 Sayreville Memorial Post, 575 Jernee Mill Road, Sayreville, NJ 08872. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Deborah Heart and Lung Center, www.deborah.org. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals.

Dear Peggy, Lauren, Lisa and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. My heart grieves your pain, and I pray for God to give you peace and strength during this time. Keep close the memories and times you shared. They will help heal the aching heart, and always remind you your Angel is by your side. May your husband and dad rest peacefully in the Arms of The Lord with the Angels above, and may you find peace in time. My thoughts are with you always and your in my heart always. May God be with you always.
